Small, quaint, perfectly located BnB. The Brighten room king size bed is both soft and supportive. Books galore and comfy places to relax and read. Delicious hot breakfast. Detail we much appreciated were reading lights above each side of the bed.

The bed was very comfortable with a fresh and clean feel and I slept very well. The headboard has a painting depicting the west pier , an artful and interesting addition to the Sussex theme (Google West Pier Brighton) . The tea and coffee facilities in the room were excellent and I loved the Brighton and Hove Albion football club mug.

Such a wonderful stay! Fresh bread in the morning, quiet neighborhood, and perfect location to walk into town. I would stay here again.

Our first trip to Brattleboro (much less Vermont) was treated with amazing hospitality, a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, and an outstanding room. Currently working on their first year in business, owners Pat & Conrad went above and beyond to make our stay warm and welcoming. From delicious breakfasts in the morning (complete with bread made by Conrad - BRAVO!) to cool sleeping at nights (complete with plenty of great films should you find it raining). This was a literal diamond discovery. Highly suggested and a welcomed B&B for the traveler. We cannot wait to return!

Hosts, Pat and Conrad, were attentive and made us feel at home.

Free wi-fi is a must nowadays and this B&B is no exception, I should also add that I was able to get a very good mobile signal in the room enabling me to keep in contact with family back in the UK without having to resort to wandering around holding my phone in silly positions as I have had to do at some locations in the past. Large remote control ceiling fans proved adequate cooling when needed. A digital alarm clock for those early morning starts is supplied and ample reading lights are fitted for those who like me read in bed.

Pat and Conrad offer a selection of breakfasts including a full English which I would highly recommend and Pat makes a mean breakfast pancake.

The guest bathroom is not en-suit but is located literally one door down the hall and has as expected clean and well kept facilities, a shower, basin and toilet are standard . The guest area and owners area are separate, so you will never run into the owners in the hall.

Conrad and Pat were friendly and helpful and above all non intrusive, I was left to my own devices which suited me perfectly. The house was built in 1901 I think or around then and has beautiful wooden stairs and a warm and cosy feel.

All in all I would recommend this small friendly well kept B&B as a home from home if your like me from Brighton, but If your not and have ever wondered what Brighton UK is like then stay here as its really nice and gets five stars in my book for good food, friendly helpful owners, easy to get to and from Brattleboro town center and best of all its in Vermont which is one of the best states Ive visited whilst traveling in the USA..

My favorite room was the small but extremely well stocked library. The library holds plenty of reading material if you have forgotten your book, the shelves are packed with short stories for the quick reader and for those who are staying longer numerous novels and other interesting volumes are available to borrow. (no library card needed)

The B&B is located in a quiet area of Brattleboro and is 5-10 mins walk from the main high street with plenty of interesting places to visit, Brattleboro has plenty of bookshops both new and second hand along with lovely places to eat and drink.

My wife and I had a great time at The One Cat (number of cats may vary)! There were two very friendly cats when we stayed there. I'm allergic to some cats, but neither of these cats caused me any issues whatsoever. They keep the place very clean. We asked about swimming holes in area, but they didn't know of any. When we returned from dinner they had left a Vermont guide book out for us bookmarked to the swimming holes. Breakfast was fantastic! They have some very nice common areas including a little library/reading room. Our bedroom was beautiful, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend staying at The One Cat!

As a traveler from Brighton Sussex UK , I was more than pleasantly surprised to find the One cats guest room has a Sussex theme throughout, the theme includes framed Bexhill on Sea posters along with a superb Graham Greene poster of Brighton Rock. There are books on Brighton and Sussex on the rooms book shelves. The room has a large TV & DVD with the ability to stream Netflix this provides ample entertainment should you just want to watch a film. There is the option of borrowing a DVD from Conrad & Pat as they have a small DVD library available for guests to use.

We've already made return reservations!!

There Is ample storage space for luggage in this large double room and plenty of wardrobe and draw space. The room was clean, bright, interesting, homely and very comfortable, a lot of thought has gone into the decoration and presentation of this room.
