We have had wonderful dinners at the Eagles Club in Brattleboro. Great food, good prices.

If you ant to be a part of "real Vermont" Mike's is a place to stop by for awhile. Pick a time around quitting time of any weekday and you'll find a a cross section of Vermont from work-at-home moms to straight from the barn hands. Truly a "general store" even though that's not in the name. Gas, milk, canned goods, etc. (all thet you would expect). Add to the offerings hot friend chicken, macaroni and cheese, or meatballs for dinner; electrical parts, tools, batteries, camping gear, rope, laundry supplies, light bulbs, car parts.....you get the idea.
