Don't waste your money on this place, the quality isn't any better that your handy man neighbor. This place caters to the wealthy and second home owners.
Bought a stove and had it installed recently and these guys are top-notch. Been using them for years for chimney cleanings as well. Mark S. is wonderful with new stoves - patient and kind. This is not a hard-sell kind of place which I appreciate hugely. Glad they have been in business for so long and hope they continue for many more years. Terrific Vermont business, honest and right, even sweet. I highly recommend Friends of the Sun (the Brattleboro one that is) to all my friends and neighbors.

Less than 2 years ago I had a chimney and wood stove installed. Right after it was installed the pad broke (see picture). I thought ok, stuff happens and let it go. Then awoke this morning, and for the 3rd time had a bird caught in the pipe. When I called and asked why they never installed a screen, I received a lecture on how it is extremely rare to have birds get into chimneys and that a screen is an accessory that is dangerous to install.....ok. Then as I was attempting to get the bird out of the pipes I noticed that the pipe had rusted after less than 2 years (see pictures). My house has not flooded and I live on high ground. When I asked if there was a warranty the man told me that this just happens and that I need to just slap some paint on the rusting pipe to "fix" it!
Outstanding customer service. I recently purchased my wood stove there and I love it. I can't recommend Friends of the Sun highly enough. My experience with them has been great on all levels.
