We couldn't be happier with our gorgeous eastern white pine floor. These are giant planks! And it makes the space look super elegant. Thanks VTPF!

I cannot say enough good things about Vermont Plank Flooring! I just purchased my second floor from them, and I couldn't be happier. The quality of the floors is unparalleled. My contractor told me he had never seen a white oak floor as beautiful as the one shipped from VT Plank flooring, and he specializes in installing hardwood floors. The customer service was amazing- Mark talked me through every step of the process and laid out all of my options so that we could come up with the best possible floor for my family without compromising on design. The floor arrived ahead of schedule (when does this ever happen during a home renovation!) and shipment was smooth. If you're looking to buy a beautiful hardwood floor from a company with integrity, go with Vermont Plank Flooring.

Here is my reply to Mr. Tarmy’s remarks: (1) I asked for a refund on demonstrably defective material not “a refund on flooring we gave him gratis and on any normal waste he accumulated”. There was no gratis material and there was no request for a refund on non-defective material. His claim that “we over-shipped $877.60 worth of flooring to Mr. Zwerger which we gave him free of charge” rings hollow. There was no mention of this alleged overage until I submitted my claim for a refund of defective material. If I were giving away $877.60 worth of free product I would at least mentioned it up front and not foolishly state it after the customer coincidentally files a $800 refund claim. 2) I ordered the “treads Unfinished” because they refused to finish them!! I wanted them finished to match the flooring but the refused to do so. His claim that there were no “through holes” in the stair treads is false. One of the photos I submitted to him clearly showed a large hole completely through the tread. To suggest the installer should fill these holes is ludicrous. My installer was dumbfounded by the quality lapses. (3) I was advised to use one type of adhesive by the sales rep and a different type by Mr. Tarmy. Only the type Mr. Tarmy recommended conforms to NWFA guidelines. (4) The fact that we could not handle an 18-wheel truck on our road was discussed from the beginning and confirmed often. Regardless, Mr. Tarmy’s company knew my delivery requirements from the beginning and could have baked it into the price rather than whine about it after the fact.

Cannot recommend Vermont Plank Flooring. The office is incredibly disorganized, often messing up details like sizes, delivery details, conflicting installation directions, etc. I installed $20k of Rift and quartersawn character grade oak in 7" width. I also purchase stair treads in character grade. They sent treads with large holes in the treads which they failed to fill with wood filler as they did with the plank flooring. They will not finish treads to match their floor so I asked for stain to match the floor. What they sent was not even close. I ordered extra planks to make sure I had enough given that there are always some small defects n character grade wood. As it turned out I had about 160 sq ft of defective lumber @ 10.97/ SF came to $1,600 I was due. I offered to settle the matter for $800 or about 1/2 of the value of the defective product. Mark (the owner I believe) asked me to keep the defective material and said he was sending someone to pick it up on an agreed upon date. Nobody ever showed up and they refused to return my calls. At the end, I was left with no option but to sue them but that would have cost more than I was owed. Not good people. I will say we are happy with the finished floor but would not buy from this company again.

We recently purchased 2000 sq. ft of premimum grade Eastern White Pine ( unfinished). The wood delivery came on time and was beautiful. Only two pieces , out of the entire 2000 sq. ft were unusable. If you are thinking about going with Vermont Plank Flooring, you won’t be disappointed. The customer service was awesome as well. They always took the time to answer my questions and offer guidance.
